Personal Shopper Experience and a Night of Pampering at the Fabolous City Spa!

For the regular readers and followers of this blog you will almost certainly know that we have just concluded our very first Skinny Jeans Challenge. Now for the purposes of the members that took part and worked their butts off we at Results Weight Loss put on a very special treat.

The treat began at the Debenhams store in Leicester whereby they sipped Champayne whilst experiencing their very own personal shopper experience (obviously looking for new jeans ofcourse) and then we continued the night away at the fabolous City Spa where the guys were pampered with nail paints and massages.

A very well deserved night and one to remember.

More Video Success Stories From The Skinny Jeans Challenge #1!

I did it, I lost 2 jeans sizes! Hurrah! I am so determined to carry on and get to the ultimate goal of where I wasn’t to be.

I have learned so much about what I am capable of and can push myself that bit more each time.
And can push myself that bit more each time. I know I will keep this new eating plan up and not include the foods that make me feel sluggish back in. i.e. white bread.

I have got the results I’d hoped for and will continue with this new lifestyle.

Yes! I just about squeezed into the jeans. Its been a fantastic journey, meeting new people, new foods and new exercises.


Its definitely been a tough few weeks but then it is the skinny jeans challenge!
I feel absolutely great. I feel I have more energy, lost some more fat and gained some muscle. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get fitter.


I hope to carry on with Joe and Sam and really get into those jeans.

Getting into eating every 3 hours was so different initially – but soon adapted. Had to be really organised to fit in work and gym.

The workouts are intense but the whole ‘family’ feel gives added support whilst in the journey.

I have learned that having set a goal I can achieve it!

As I write this I am an hour away from trying on my jeans. There are many things running through my head and thought I would write them down. Firstly, I feel AMAZING! I cannot believe how great I feel. Before the skinny jeans challenge I came to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, and rode my horse at weekends – I thought I was fit but couldn’t understand why my clothes were getting smaller and gradually being pushed to the back of the wardrobe. The jeans I have given in were ones I used to wear about 2-3 years ago before I lost my horse and was at my thinnest.(realistically I think they are 3 sizes smaller) during this 6 weeks I have had to justify and explain why I am doing this to many people – I never knew that people close to me could be so negative – but Joes emails kept me going I just kept reading it (the one about negative people and thoughts) also Harriet’s book was great inspiration – thanks Harriett!

Now the exercise part!! I enjoyed every minute of it maybe not at the start when I couldn’t do one push up or one inch worm never mind burpees!! Again I had to justify to people why we weren’t doing cardio. But I felt able and so well informed from the Results Weight Loss coaches that they paved on to me each week that I could argue that point as well. I have to be honest and say I did put my heart in to every training session, and when I had to stop I got angry with myself and that made me keep going.

Mostly, being able to do a whole class with all the exercises is a great feeling. I loved working with a ‘team effort’ in classes and work to keep each other going. In my personal training sessions Sam has been great, pushing me through the hard parts but at the same time being encouraging – thanks Sam!

So I think that’s it at the moment, I have had a huge journey made some amazing new friends – which is always a great thing. Completely changed my lifestyle and fitness which has had positive effects on my horse riding – my core strength for one and my life in general. I am going to be a bit lost I think over the next week.

Thanks Results Weight Loss, don’t know how else I can say it really.

Fat Loss Seminar - Another Chance!

We decided to put this on our blog because unfortunately a few people missed our free weight loss seminar that they were booked onto for last week.

For the people booked onto Saturday’s seminar, we would like to say sorry as the wrong day was put on your confirmation email which we think may have caused some confusion!

Because of this we have decided to run another free seminar this Wednesday 4th March at 6.30pm for those of you that missed out but would still like to attend and gain some secret tips on fat loss! As before the seminar will be held in studio 2 @ Greens Health & fitness.

The seminars went very well last week and one gentleman said it was the best and most informative seminar he had ever been to! So don’t miss out on your chance to get insider information that is not normally in the public domain!

Mothers Day Special!



We know how important mothers are which is why we celebrate them once a year on mothering Sunday! So this year not only would we like to celebrate our own mothers- but yours also!

We are holding a ‘BRING YOUR MUM WEEK’ starting on Monday 16th March – Saturday 21st March. So basically you pick one of our Metabolic Group Coaching Sessions during that week and bring your mum along for a complimentary work out! Also buy a post workout recovery shake and get the second one free. Class time Tuesday @ 6:30pm and Friday @6:30pm.

Can A Weight Loss Coach Help You?

New Study:

Supervised exercise versus non-supervised exercise for reducing weight in obese adults.Nicolaï SP et alJ Sports Med Phys Fitness. 2009 Mar;49(1):85-90.

This research study looked at the effects of training with supervision/instruction (ie a qualified trainer) versus "advice"

Two groups - Group one met a trainer twice a week for 4 months (as a group).Group two received basic advice to increase physical activity and access to a fully equipped gym (any exercise they did was unsupervised).

The group with supervision lost on average 362% more fat over a 4-month period. (Total fat loss of 13.4lbs in the coached group - and only 3.7lbs in the advice only group)

Interesting side note -they made these improvements without ANY dietary advice given.
This is not a new finding, nor is it that surprising as a good coach or training partner/team can really help with your results. The fact that the group exercised together only served to improve those results further (as social support is one of the key variables in fat loss success) so I'm not sure that the supervision and instruction alone was entirely responsible for the enhanced results - or the social support was part of it. However, it's clear that together it's an unbeatable combination.

You'd also have to assume that there was more instruction in the supervised group as there was more contact with instructors.

Another study came out a few years ago showing that a participant would exercise 30% harder or more (can't remember the exact number) with someone just watching them (i.e. not offering any instruction or encouragement). You can imagine how that could translate into much greater results, when added with a good program, great coaching, great social support and great instruction.

If you are serious about changing your body - hire a coach, or get a great training partner or team to help you.
